Entertaining America: Jews, Movies and Broadcasting at The Jewish Museum
by David Barnett

No matter how much glitz the Jewish Museum opts to cover their new Entertaining America exhibit in, it never changes the fact that it still seems sorely lacking in content. Fluffy and insubstantial, the exhibit lacks the evidence to support the few claims it makes, and when it does attempt to go beneath the archetypical surface, it quickly hops back up to devote one third of itself to Seinfeld. Next time, perhaps the Jewish Museum should attempt to tell us something we don't already know instead of trying to drug us into thinking they've created a good exhibit with gaudy ornamentation and hundreds of televisions bearing flashy, lifeless clip shows.
