Nina Reviews Mono by Another Urban Riff

Once I walked into the room I was a little confused, because I didnÕt walk into a theatre, instead I walked into a bar. Set up with bright colorful chairs, tables, lights and walls, Mono was a very interesting and humorous show.

The actors and actresses were already sitting in their places, blending in with the audience, so that when the lights dimmed the audience was expecting people to come barging in through the doors. Instead, whoever's turn it was to speak was put into the spotlight.

Each character had his or her own problems, or flaws, but they were all merged together into one show. They started off as strangers in a bar, but eventually met one another.

The most appealing part of this show was that the audience wasnÕt simply sitting there watching...they were put in the spotlight too, and this brought more laughter and fun.

However, although it was easy to have a good time, the ending was inconclusive and abrupt, leaving some questions unanswered, and at the same time letting the audience down.

Also, one small warning, this show had a lot of sexual references, so if you feel a little uncomfortable about that, I suggest you donÕt go.
