Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre The audience received a loud and warm welcome once the show got started at the world-famous Apollo Theatre. Amateur Night was a blast for everyone.

Joe Grey welcomed the audience. Grey sung a sweet song, after telling jokes, warming everyone up, and getting them ready for the show to follow. Then the host, Capone, came out, and people from the audience were picked to dance on stage. During the beginning of the night, the focus was more on the people in the audience, rather than the amateurs waiting behind stage to do their acts.

That was the fun part, however. The audience participated in the show, got some good laughs, and decided who was worthy enough to stay on stage. When the real show finally got started, the contestants came out onto the stage and rubbed the famous tree stump for good luck. This has been a tradition for years.

Although the chairs were a little cramped, the audience was at home and the entertainment was great. The audience was able to express themselves freely, and make all major decisions, but Capone made sure that everyone was respectful and gave all the contestants a chance, despite their race. The Apollo was very clear on this issue and makes them even more respectful.

The whole show was a success. The audience was never bored during this long, hilarious night.
