High 5's Teen Reviewers and Critics
 Experience NYC like never before...Are you open-minded and adventurous? An arts lover? A writer, perhaps? Then you've got to check out High 5's FREE Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) Program. TRaC is an exceptional opportunity for committed high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to explore and experience the arts in New York City. Participants see first-hand how artists work, think and live; attend cutting-edge theater, dance and music performances; visit artists's studios, funky gallaries and contemporary art museums; master NYC's subway system; meet like-minded peers from all over NY and NJ; learn the art of discussion and critical writing; AND discover more about themselves!Our Partners and Spring 2009 Program High 5 works with the most prestigious and exciting cultural organizations to connect the Teen Reviewers and Critics the vast worlds of NYC theater, music, dance and visual arts. Our TRaC partners are Dance Theater Workshop, The Public Theater, Carnegie Hall, and, brand new this fall, the MAD Musuem. There are five 9-week sessions during both the fall and spring and two 5-week sessions over the summer. Each class is limited to 15 students and is taught by one of our veteran instructors (all of whom are working writers, critics, artists and art lovers). In the Spring of 2009, we are offering FIVE TRaC classes: Theater TRaC, Dance TRaC, Music TRaC, Visual Arts TRaC and Multi TRaC. We always suggest you try a discipline you don't know. Open yourself up to new ideas. Of course, for those who can't decide, our Multi-disciplinary TRaC has a little bit of everything. **Check out the TRaC FAQs page for the tentative schedule. We'll have a panel of TRaC Alumni and Instructors here to speak about the TRaC experience and give a preview of the fall programs. You'll get a glimpse of the program and have the opportunity to ask us any questions. Also, there will be food and a short reception following the panel Q&A. Do you have an opinion about a show, concert, artist, dance or side-walk performance that you've got to express? Join High 5's FREELANCE CORPS! The Freelance Corps is open to anyone and everyone (13 - 18) who wants to cover the arts in NYC. Here's the deal: you get two-free tickets to any High 5 on the Event Calandar for every 300 - 500 word response you submit about a show in NYC. That's all it takes!
