The Teen Reviewers and Critics Program![]() Multi-Arts TRaC hanging out with No Longer Empty, Spring 2012. Experience NYC like never before...Are you open-minded and adventurous? An arts lover? A writer, perhaps? Then you've got to check out ArtsConnection's FREE Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) program.Recognized in 2011 & 2012 as a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award Finalist, the TRaC Program is an after-school opportunity for teens to explore art and culture in NYC. Participants attend cutting-edge theater, dance, and music performances; visit artist studios, galleries, and museums; master NYC's subway system; learn the art of discussion and critical writing; and so much more! There are six 10-week sessions each fall and spring and a special 4-week summer intensive. Each class is limited to 12 students and is taught by one of our veteran instructors (all of whom are working writers, critics, artists, and art lovers). Summer 2013 Teen Reviewers and Critics
The Spring 2013 TRaC program wrapped up in May! Check out teen coverage of the arts in NYC this past Spring at www.high5review.org. This Summer we are offering a special 4-week Multi-Arts TRaC focusing on the theme MAP FREE CITY. Now's your chance to see all of the amazing and FREE arts events NYC has to offer while navigating the 5 boroughs and working on a multi-media project that documents your experience. Get into it! From the Bronx to Staten Island we're taking over the city this summer to check out all the art we possibly can. Open yourself up to new ideas, new neighborhoods, new subway lines, and new art! Join the High 5 Freelancers Corps!
Don't have time for TRaC in your schedule, but want to be an arts beat writer for THE HIGH 5 REVIEW? Do you have an opinion about a show, concert, artist, dance or side-walk performance that you've got to express? Join the High 5 Review's FREELANCERS CORPS. The Freelancers Corps is open to anyone (13 - 18) who wants to cover the arts in NYC. Here's the deal: you get two-free tickets to any High 5 show on the Event Calender in exchange for writing at least one 200 - 400 word response every two months. Of course, you'll have to commit to attending at least one art event a month, too. Gotta get out there and see art if you're gonna be a reviewer! And that's all it takes. We'll publish your work on THE HIGH 5 REVIEW to be read by thousands. Start building your resume and get your start in the industry NOW in the Freelancers Corps.
