In the Q-Box: Michele Aldin

What if the Sopranos moved to Wisteria Lane? The Brooklyn-born Bianchino family, beat up, broke down and renamed "The Dukes" by the Federal Witness Protection Program, struggle to remain anonymous in their new home, but surviving the Mob is one thing; surviving Suburbia, however, that's something completely different.

The Program's playwright, Michele Aldin, steps into this special Fringe-centric Q-Box to answer our always informative, albeit mostly ridiculous, questions.
What's the best thing about Fringe?
The energy! And working with great people who are really, really into what they're doing. In this case, putting up the best show possible

What's the #1 reason people should come see your show?
We hope to make you laugh a lot.

Do you have any opening-night rituals?
I give little presents that have something to do with the show to all the company members. For this show, everyone gets a miniature super hero action figure (but don't tell -- it's a surprise!)

What are the craziest performance conditions you've had to work under?
Sub-zero temperatures outside and inside the theatre. Yeah. No heat in the middle of December. Two performers had to do a scene in shorts & T-shirts.

How did you get involved with the arts?
Every since I can remember my parents exposed me to theatre, music, circus, dance, books -- I was pretty hooked from the start.
