The Teen Reviewers and Critics Program
![]() Experience NYC like never before...Are you open-minded and adventurous? An arts lover? A writer, perhaps? Then you've got to check out ArtsConnection's FREE Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) program. Recognized in 2011 as a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award Finalist by the President's Committee on the Art and Humanities and its cultural partners, the TRaC program is an exceptional opportunity for committed high school students who want to explore and fully immerse themselves in the arts of New York City. Participants see first-hand how artists work, think and live; attend cutting-edge theater, dance and music performances; visit artists's studios, funky gallaries and contemporary art museums; master NYC's subway system; meet like-minded peers from all over NY and NJ; learn the art of discussion and critical writing; AND discover more about themselves! There are six 10-week sessions during both the fall and spring and special 2-day workshops over the summer. Each class is limited to 12 students and is taught by one of our veteran instructors (all of whom are working writers, critics, artists and art lovers).Spring 2012 Teen Reviewers and Critics
This February through May we are offering SIX TRaC options: Film TRaC, Theater TRaC, Visual Arts TRaC, Music TRaC, Dance TRaC and Multi-Arts TRaC. Resolve to get involved! Sign up for your favorite art form. Or, live wild and try a discipline you don't know. Open yourself up to new ideas. For those who can't decide, we recommend you just roll a dice and let chance do the work (six options, six sides of the die....you get the idea). You can't go wrong. To apply, simply download the TRaC application (click the link in the top right column) and get it to us! Check out the TRaC FAQs page for answers to the most frequently asked questions. We also strongly recommend you join us on February 8th for our "Spring TRaC Informational Open House" to hear first-hand about TRaC from Alumni of the program. No matter what TRaC section you choose, you're guaranteed to experience the arts of NYC like never before.
